Girl at Color Run

Spectrum celebrates their 5th & 6th graders every year at the annual FUN RUN by hosting a color run just for them! Not only is it a blast for the kids, but the parents/ volunteers get in on the fun as well by showing up to throw powder at their kid, and their friends as they run past! Here's how it works and frequently asked questions:

How Does COLOR RUN work?

Typically a course is laid out with 3 to 5 color stations set up with color powder on each side of the course that will be thrown on the participants as they run through the color station. You will need 2 to 4 volunteers per station to throw the color powder on your racers as they pass through the color station.

What is the powder that is used?

Our color powder is all certified non-toxic and free of any heavy metals. Our bright colors are a combination of cornstarch, baking soda, and FD&C (food-safe) dyes.

How to clean up after color run?

Regular soap will often get most of the color dust off. For more stubborn color, try soap with salicylic acid. When washing color run clothes, make sure you wash them in one load and in cold water.
